Tanning salons have been around for decades. We’d arrive in search of a tanning bed that could sun-kiss our skin in minutes instead of hours. But over the years we’ve learned that while safer than the sun the tanning bed does pose some risk. Meet the new solution to having a super tan – the spray tanning booth.

There are a number of different spray tanning booths on the market each with their own style of nozzle and application. Salon staff will explain to you what the process is, what you need to do, whether you need to turn, how long the nozzles will spray for, etc. They will make sure you understand what’s expected of you.

There are different levels of tan ranging from light to very dark. If this is your first time it’s a good idea to go lighter until you figure out what shade you like. Staff can also help you make the right decision. If you live somewhere  that doesn’t offer spray tanning or you don’t want to spend the money there are home versions available. They come in a bottle and take a bit of practice to master but it can be done.
